2231 Grandview Avenue (1979)

Built around 1894 by Jonathan Farrow and one of the oldest houses on Cedar Hill, this house suggests the Queen Anne style of American Victorian architecture with its asymmetry, its tower, bays, wall dormers, textured exterior walls (featuring a variety of siding treatments), and the original oval colored-glass window. The stable behind the house is also original and contains carriage tracks suggesting both the age of the structure and the life-style of its earliest inhabitants.

The present owners began their wine-making enterprise in the home's basement, a business that has expanded to include the Au Provence restaurant and the Cedar Hill Wine Company, both on Lee Road. The Winery's logo appropriately features the Farrow House.
