1636 Brewster Road (1978)

This home is one of the 81 completed Forest Hills development homes; 600 of the same style were planned. The architect was Andrew J. Thomas, who conceived of a total "planned" community for which the Heights-Rockefeller Building on the corner of Mayfield and Lee was to serve as an entry landmark. These homes were built in the early 1930s in the French Norman style distinguished by peaked slate roofs, steel casement windows, and decorative stone trim around the doorways.
